Meet your guide in Plaça de L'Àngel, situated in the centre of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, and embark on a free tour of the “Ciudad Condal”.
Strolling through the Barrio Gótico, the city’s Old Town, you will admire the Barcelona Cathedral, built between the thirteenth and fifteenth century. Then, head to the impressive Mirador del Rei Martí, known in English as King Martin’s Watchtower. This attraction is situated in the Plaça del Rei, a striking Medieval square where Ferdinand II of Aragon was plotted against. Next, you will explore Plaça Sant Jaume, home to the Town Hall and the Palau de la Generalitat.
As you walk along, your local guide will reveal the past, secrets and legends of Barcelona, from Hercules, the legendary founder of the city, to when the Romans settled in the area and called it Barcino, to its most famous artists including Antoni Gaudí and Picasso.
