Discover the history of the US capital and see the city's most emblematic places of interest on this bike tour of Washington DC.
Washington DC Bike Tour
Having met up on 23rd Street NW, we'll begin our bike tour around Washington DC. Helmets on, on your bikes, go! Pedalling down one of the US federal capital's most popular streets, Pennsylvania Avenue, we'll soon see the unmistakable silhouette of the White House.
Following the route of the long boulevard, we'll then reach the United States Capitol Building. Nearby, we'll discover why Washington DC is often referred to as a city of spies. How much truth will there be in novels and films about the American intelligence services?
In front of the Capitol building, we'll see the National Mall, an esplanade home to many of DC's most iconic landmarks. Cycling down the avenue, we'll see the Smithsonian and the monuments to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Do you know what important events took place under the presidency of these two political leaders?
Before returning to the original departure point, we will recall some of the most tragic episodes of the 20th century, visiting the memorials dedicated to those who fell in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
The bike tour will come to an end after five hours exploring this fascinating city.
