We enjoyed a very informative and entertaining walk with April through the Hutong area. April knows a great deal about the history of the hutongs, from their origins through the mid-20th century to the present day. This wasn’t my first hutong tour, but I still learnt quite a few new things. Thank you, April!
Guide was very good - well structured talks and information. A difficult accent to follow and could have spoken a bit slower, but once “in tune” with his speech it went well. The route of the tour was just right and the timing mostly appropriate - perhaps a bit too long in Makars Court
Rob was knowledgeable and interesting. He spoke slowly and clearly which will have helped the mostly overseas group. A good selection of stops and historical information shared. It was at a good walking pace so no-one got left behind.
