Explore the home of the Templar Knights and discover the charming city's curious secrets with this Tomar Private Tour. You can enjoy an exclusive guide for you and your partner, family or friends.
At the time you select, we'll meet at a location in the city that best suits you to start a private tour of Tomar lasting two hours.
First, we'll walk to the church of Santa Maria do Olival, built under the order of the knight Gualdim Pais. Did you know that this place houses a pantheon of the Order of the Templars? From there we'll continue walking towards the Convent of Santa Iria, to admire its wonderful Renaissance portico.
Then we'll reach the lungs of the city, Mouchão Park. The location is famous for its Nabão River wooden waterwheel. Afterwards, we'll leave the banks of the river to go to the Tomar Synagogue, an iconic Hebrew temple in Portugal. This sanctuary has been everything from a barn, a prison to even a storeroom.
To finish the tour, we'll enjoy some typical local ham and cheese appetizers. The tour will end at the Praça da República.
When you book a private tour you'll have a guide exclusively for you. Moreover, you can do the tour any day of the week, you can choose the meeting point, and if you're a large group, you'll save money!
